Optimization of Space
Methodology
Ok, so a lectern for a laptop is the idea. The main issue that I have is that it is inconvenient to have to move between using the laptop (to watch tutorials, multitask, or take digital notes) and typing on my desktop. This is problematic for me for a number of reasons, but the largest one is that the more you move something, the more the chances are that you are going to break it. The last thing I need is a broken laptop. I would also like to have my space be more orderly and contained. There is nothing worse than mess, chaos, and lack of clarity. Those things only cause headaches and discontent.
Secondly, and quite vain of me, having a slick, well-designed lectern for the Laptop just looks nice. It is functional, but it also has my style added to it. Seeing that the assignment did not say that we had to draft an assignment, I decided the best thing to do would simply be to think of what i would like most, which would be a swan-shaped design. Something that has structure beyond four boring pillars that hold the object up. This would be harder to achieve because I would need to make sure that the shape would be structurally strong enough to actually hold my laptop up. If I have to add structural beams to the front, then that will be arranged.
